When I click PRINT in my report, PDF-eXPLODE opens up with a Print Options screen and I have to click EXPLODE NOW
ISSUE:
When you click PRINT in your report writer or business software, a PDF-eXPLODE Print Options screen appears and processing appears to be all manual from here with the need to click the EXPLODE NOW button, then enter the path for creating a PDF file and finally click OK when the PDF is created. Is there a way to automate this process?
ANSWER:
Yes - you can automate the process so that when you click PRINT in your application, PDF-eXPLODE will process end-to-end without any human intervention and create a Master PDF, then explode the Master into multiple destination PDF pages and finally email each PDF page to the email address in the tag. You need to set the PDF-eXPLODE options to SILENT as shown in the image below. Please also ensure that the Default Document Title is completed and the Default Document Path - these are generally inserted at installation time but the silent mode check box is left unchecked.

By updating the configuration to 'Silent Mode', you are effectively removing the need to open the Files and Folder browser in order to name the master PDF (copy of full onscreen report ) to be exploded. The ' Default Document Title ' is the PDF file name which will be created each time you Print a report to the PDFeXPLODE printer, and the ' Default Documnt Path' represnts the folder location of the master PDF. These 2 settings are used as defaults for each and every future print run of PDF-eXPLODE.
TIP: Do not ever leave the PDF file PDF-eXPLODE.pdf open as PDF-eXPLODE will be unable to process. This is because, the next print processing you create , will either need to rename (if Backup setting is enabled under 'Logging And Utilities' ) or overwrite this file and that is not possible if the Default Document Title file (PDFeXPLODE.pdf) is open in memory. It triggers a Permissions Error 70 in the log and processing will shut down.
